BOARD OF GOVERNOR'S MEETING MINUTES

Highlights from the QUARTERLY BOARD MEETING of the South Dakota Lutheran Laymen's League - January 13, 2007

10:00 - St Martin Lutheran Church, Alexandria SD - 12 members and one guest present

Call to Order and Opening - President Bill Snow called the meeting to order.  Pastoral Advisor, Rev Thomas Christopher, led opening devotions.

Business Meeting

Rebates - International will discontinue rebates from now through the end of the year due to the current financial condition of the International organization.

Pledges to the CWDEA and Circuit Rider projects were reviewed and confirmed.

Rosebud Project - Dutch will be in touch with Pastor Utecht about the basement project at the church in Rosebud.

Habitat for Humanity, Pierre - The SD LLL will lend its support to this project, slated for 2008.  Terry Leibel will coordinate this project.

On-going Projects -Advent and Lenten Devotions, Global Care Packages, Ablaze, Ambassadors, LHM Memorial Giving Kits.

Ministry Outreach Chairman - Vacant; seeking potential candidates.

2007 Annual Meeting will follow the 2006 format, to be held in Aberdeen.

Dart Ball Tournament - March 25th.
